The Powerful Solfeggio Frequencies

Sound is one of the purest forms of energy that corresponds to emotions. The fact is, music has a profound effect on our being, even at a cellular level.
We know that it’s already proven that sounds influence our body and mind. But what if you discovered that specific tones could help you relax your mind and restore your physical well-being?
Whether you’re new to soothing sounds or are an active listener, the term ‘Solfeggio frequencies’ might still be entirely new to you. What is the Solfeggio scale? Are these frequencies beneficial to our health? Let’s find out.
Negative emotions such as anger, hatred, or jealousy, lower our vibration. When we stop identifying with those emotions and accept them simply as energy fluctuating within us, which are typical to experience, we begin to feel “high vibration” states such as self-love, peace, gratitude, and creativity. While one of the ways to experience high vibration is to stop attaching to thoughts and emotions, helpful catalysts such as Solfeggio Frequencies help center your energy.
Solfeggio frequencies refer to specific tones that promote various aspects of body and mind health, helping you to experience emotional and spiritual release. The Solfeggio Frequencies consist of six electromagnetic musical tones that the Gregorian Monks chanted during religious practices. These frequencies have a measurable influence on human psychology and physiology, and they are believed to stimulate healing and promote vitality.
In the 1970s, physician Dr. Joseph Puleo, rediscovered Solfeggio frequencies and brought their benefits back into public awareness. He used mathematical numeral reduction to identify the measurable tones that bring the body into balance and aid in healing. Puleo developed a theory that each of the frequencies carried precise characteristics and that the tones could be used therapeutically.
Thanks to Puleo’s work, many scientists have since unearthed more evidence supporting these frequencies’ positive effects on the human body.
For example, according to Dr. Alan Watkins, a neuroscience lecturer at Imperial College, London, those who perform the chants experience the lowest heart rates and blood pressure of the day while singing. Research also suggests that singing the ancient compositions relieves fatigue and alleviates depression.
In 1988, biochemist Dr. Glen Rein tested the impact of different music on human DNA. He exposed similar DNA vials to four kinds of music: Gregorian chants, Sanskrit chants, classical, and rock. By measuring the rate of UV light absorption, an essential function of healthy DNA, Rein assessed the effects of each type of music.
The Gregorian and Sanskrit chants had the most positive effects by increasing UV light absorption between 5 to 9%, while classical music increased UV absorption only by small amounts. Rock music decreased UV light absorption. Rein’s research proved that sound frequencies do produce serious effects on health and well-being.
Many people describe listening to Solfeggio Frequencies as calming, inspiring, and even revelatory by helping us experience clarity and understanding regarding problems in our lives. Others who listen to these tones may experience cleansing by feeling repressed emotions in response to the mismatch of vibration. In short, these sound frequencies may have a “purging” effect on your energy fields!
So why do the Solfeggio frequencies produce more positive effects on the body than any other sounds or tones? Well, the answer lies in the Schumann resonance.
German physicist Winfried Otto Schumann researched the electromagnetic resonances found between the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere and discovered that these electromagnetic waves resonate at a low frequency ranging between 7.86 Hz to 8 Hz. Schumann determined that this frequency was the Earth’s heartbeat.
Further research supports Konig’s findings by confirming the Schumann resonance and human brain activity similarities. Plus, other research shows that the low frequency of the Schumann resonance has even been found to provide synchronization for higher brain functions.
So, how do the Schumann resonances relate to the Solfeggio frequencies?
The Solfeggio frequencies resonate with the Schumann resonance of 8 Hz. Musically speaking, the frequencies are derived by beginning at 8Hz and working up the musical scale until the C note is vibrating at the 256 Hz frequency and the A note is vibrating at 432 Hz.
The Solfeggio frequencies include but are not limited to six different tones. Let’s take an in-depth look at each frequency and its unique healing effects on the body and mind:
- 396 Hz (Ut) – heals the root chakra (Muladhara Chakra), liberating from guilt and fear, releases negative thoughts and feelings
- 417 Hz (Re) – heals the sacral chakra (Swadhisthana Chakra), facilitates change and undoing situations
- 528 Hz (Mi) – heals the solar plexus chakra (Manipura Chakra), repairs the DNA, promotes transformation, reduces stress
- 639 Hz (Fa) – heals the heart chakra (Anahata Chakra), creates connections and relationships
- 741 Hz (Sol) – heals the throat chakra (Vishuddha Chakra), awakens intuition, purifies the mind
- 852 Hz (La) – heals the third eye chakra (Ajna Chakra), returns spiritual order in your life and awakens inner energy
Later on, three more Solfeggio frequencies were discovered:
- 174 Hz – functions as energetic anesthesia, promoting the release of stress and pain
- 285 Hz – aids in the healing of tissues and organs. It also invigorates and rejuvenates the body.
- 963 Hz – awakens the crown chakra (Sahasrara), which is connected with awakening intuition and activating your Pineal Gland.
These unique tones and chants are found to impart spiritual blessings when they are played harmoniously. Every solfeggio tone comprises frequencies necessary for balancing energy, keeping the spirit, mind, and body in a perfect form of harmony.
